THE ROSARY Prayed daily, Mon-Fri after 7:00 a.m. Mass and before 12:10 Mass.  On Sat and Sun the rosary is prayed before the 8:00 a.m. Mass.

PERPETUAL ADORATION  Our Perpetual Adoration is 24/7 at the convent Chapel. The front door is always open. These times need Guardians to sit in the Chapel one hour with Jesus .  If you can help, call

Food Pantry

Please remember our Thanksgiving Food Baskets when you go shopping. We are in need of stuffing, cranberry sauce, pancake mix and syrup, spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, macaroni and cheese, plain rice, cake mix, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, and tea. Please no canned vegetables at this time.
 


HARVEST FESTIVAL

CONGRATULATIONS AND GRATITUDE to everyone who planned for, worked on and participated in the Harvest Festival. From the perspective of the atmosphere, spirit, crowds, leadership, workers, food, fun, generous sponsors and financial profit, the Festival was a great success! Even though we had a late start this year, we can still be proud of our accomplishment. We know the amount of work involved. We praise God and thank Him for the spirit of cooperation that resulted in an enjoyable and profitable day. Many thanks to the volunteers who gave their time, talent and treasure to make this event successful. SCHOOL NEWS
ST. DANIEL – ST. MATTHEW ACADEMY

St. Daniel School Building We are attempting to lease St. Daniel school building. We are not selling the building. There will be adequate space for the School of Religion and other activities in the former convent building. We will retain the gym for our own uses. We are open to any suggestions for the use of the buildings.

Ways to Support our School Don’t forget to register your Target Red Card for St. Daniel – St. Matthew Academy and we’ll receive a percentage of your sales. Our school code is 11681. Register your Price Chopper Advantage Card with our school using code 39834 and we’ll receive free merchandise. We are always collecting Box Tops for Education and Campbell Soup Labels so please don’t throw them away. Thank you for supporting St. Daniel – St. Matthew Academy!

YOUNG APOSTLES MEETING The next Young Apostles meeting is Sunday, November 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Daniel Gym. All High School age youth are invited to attend

Bottle & Can Drive Save your bottles and cans for the Young Apostles Bottle Drive! Leave them at the garage, drop them off at the Teall Ave. return center (mention St. Daniel’s), or call for a pick-up.

& EVENTS

Disney Raffle Tickets are now available. Buy your tickets from a student, St. Daniel Rectory, or the school office. Tickets are only $5 each and you could win a gift card for $3000, $1000, or $500! These gift cards can be used for anything Disney: vacation, hotel, food, admission into a park, clothing, etc.

Christmas Party Reservations are now being taken for the parish Christmas Party to be held on Saturday – December 6. Social Hour begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, however, space is limited tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are $15.00 per person and $25.00 per couple. Paid reservations must be received by Monday – December 1. For reservations, contact Dolores Cafalone – 463-7429 or Betty Placito – 437-4807.

Christmas Plant Drivers Needed Drivers are needed to deliver plants to our shut-ins and elderly parishioners on Saturday, December 6th.  If you can help, please call Roslyn Giufre – 474-3066.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) - Are you or someone you know interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith? Have you been Confirmed? Operation Rice Bowl This Catholic Relief Services Lenten program has inspired Catholics to pray, fast, learn and give as we increase our understanding of our global community throughout Lent. The children in the School of Religion and St. Daniel – St. Matthew Academy will receive Rice Bowls. Bowls will be at every entrance of the Church. We encourage you to participate at home with your family and loved ones.
