Disabilities Awareness Mass
Bishop Cunningham will
celebrate the diocesan Disabilities Awareness Mass on Sunday,
September 12 at 9:45 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate
Conception. The Mass will promote a deeper understanding of the
giftedness of those who are physically, mentally, or emotionally
challenged and encourage broader participation of persons with
disabilities in the life of the Church. Everyone in the community is
cordially invited to participate in this Mass, with a special welcome
extended to individuals with disabilities, their families, and
caregivers.

Divine Mercy Shrine Pilgrimage
St. Joseph the Worker Parish of Liverpool will host a one day
pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge,
Massachusetts on Saturday, September 18. The bus departs from St.
Joseph’s at 6:45 a.m. and returns at 9 p.m. Learn about the shrine and
visit other places on the beautiful grounds including the Lourdes
Grotto and Candle Shrines. Services that are offered include a talk on
the life of St. Faustina, Eucharistic Adoration, Confessions, Rosary,
Holy Mass, Benediction, Chaplet Of the Divine Mercy, Blessing of
Religious Articles and Veneration of St. Faustina’s relic. Cost is $50
per person (bus transportation only). Bring your own lunch or order a
box lunch for $8. Dinner will be at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant,

Hear Now
is a national program of the Starkley
Hearing Foundation, which provides financial assistance to those in
need of hearing aids who are unable to afford them. Verification of
the applicant’s financial status and proof of the need for a hearing
aid are part of the application procedure. The applicant is
responsible for the evaluation, a small program fee, and the cost of
batteries and repairs. Once qualified an applicant will receive a
hearing aid without any other costs. Since the program’s inception in
1999, the foundation has provided 70,620 hearing aids. For an

New
York City Trip St.
Vincent De Paul Church is organizing a New York City trip for
Saturday, November 20 & Sunday November 21. The bus will depart from
the church on the corner of Hawley Ave. & Vine St. at approximately
6:00 a.m. on Saturday and will return at approximately 9:00 p.m. on
Sunday. The cost is $225 per person. We will be staying at the
Millennium Broadway Conference Center (2 per room). The bus is filling
up quickly, so a $50 deposit ASAP will hold your seat. Make checks

Sleep Disorder Support Group
You are invited to join St. Joseph’s for its AWAKE program, a support
program for sleep disorder patients and others who are interested in
improving their health through a sleep support group. Meetings are

St. Francis Adult Day Care
When you aren’t able to
care for an aging family member around the clock, send them to the
place that is “the next best thing to home.” St. Francis Adult Day
Care is currently accepting new participants. The program is designed
to give seniors a safe and stimulating place to spend the day,
providing socialization, arts and crafts, exercise, daily Mass, games,
meals, and much more to our participants. At the same time, St.
Francis enables caregivers to take some time for themselves to they
can work, run errands, or simply relax. St. Francis is located near
